Issue Overview
This is an SMS error caused by one of the following issues with the carrier/device. This is not an issue with Twilio or VMOS and should not be submitted as a ticket if only occurring for one customer.
- The destination number you are trying to reach is unknown and may no longer exist
- The device you are trying to reach is not on or does not have sufficient signal
- The device cannot receive SMS (for example, the phone number belongs to a landline)
- There is an issue with the mobile carrier
When to Submit a Ticket
- If this error persists with multiple customers within a small-time frame. This could indicate a system issue that we can further investigate.
Information to Include in Your Ticket
- The phone number of the customers where this error is experienced.
- Screenshot(s) of the error message.
- Any information related to what was done in VMOS when this error appeared.
