Error messages in VMOS appear when the connection to the remote access controls hardware/software cannot reach the site. This can be caused by:
- Internet instability/outage at the site(the most common cause)
- Power outage at the site
- Hardware/software malfunction
It's very important to verify that the error message is persisting prior to submitting a ticket as this typically clears itself very soon after appearing in the system.
- Refresh VMOS and verify errors are still present.
2. Wait 2-3 minutes, then attempt Open/Close again.
This is most often caused by a momentary packet loss of the primary internet which often resolves within a few minutes. Please allow a bit of time for this error to clear before reporting.
Escalate If:
- 1-2 troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue.
- Multiple minutes have passed (up to 5 minutes) and the error message is persisting.
