This guide explains how to utilize the new VMOS AI Voicemail Automation - Payments feature! This feature automatically scans transcribed voicemails left by customers for calls related to making a payment. Those customers are then automatically sent a text message with a link to the payment portal!
Important Note:
The AI can determine the difference between a call for a customer wanting to make a payment vs. a customer calling in about their account, updating payment information, etc.
Scenarios that the automation will cover:
- Customer needs to make a payment
- Customer needs to update method or verify payment
- Unknown number calls in to make a payment (they will be sent a link requiring verification using the account phone number to make a payment)

Step 1. Voicemail Transcription and Detection
- The transcribed voicemail is searched by AI to detect if the content is related to making a payment.
Step 2: Automatic Text Message Sent
- The AI sends a text message to the customer with a secure, payment portal link.
- Automated Payment SMS Script:
- Hello, this is [Organization Name]. This is an automated response to your recent message. You can make a secure payment online by using this link: {{ payment_link }}. If you’ve already paid, please allow some time for processing.
Step 3: VMOS AI Notation
- VMOS will notation on the task confirming that the automated message has been sent.
- This will also be logged in the VMOS tenant communications.
Step 4: VMOS Follow Up
- Confirm in the PMS if the customer has made a payment. If so, the task can be closed out. If not, follow up with the customer.
