Noke-Unlocking an Occupied Unit

In the event that a unit must be unlocked without requiring the tenant’s permission, you may utilize the Emergency unlock feature in the Noke portal. Steps are below.

Find the unit page in Noke, and select the Unlock option.

Select the Emergency button when asked if you would like to request permission from the tenant. To request the tenant’s permission, select Yes. This will send them a 6-digit pin that they must provide you to unlock the unit.

Select the reason for the emergency unlock. If the specific reason is not listed, select Other, then input the reason. Keep in mind that the tenant will receive an alert for unlock, and it will be display whatever option is selected!

Select Unlock. This should unlock the unit!

Pro Tip: If it is a Noke One unit, you must coordinate with the tenant to wake the unit up before attempting to emergency unlock!
