At completion of Move In Noke App is set up by Tenant. VM often assists with set up.
The process for setting up the App:
- Let the tenant know that they will receive the text from Noke Storage Smart shortly.
- Let them know their Bluetooth and location settings need to be enabled.
- Ask them to give you the 6 digit code that is sent to them in the text. Write it down for future reference.
- Tell them to then click the link below the 6 digit code to download the app.
- Once the app loads they will type in their phone number.
- The next prompt is for the 6 digit code. Read it to them (the one you wrote down for them).
- Instruct them at that point to create a new password. 8 characters, 1 number.
- They will verify the password.
- They then should see "Welcome to your New StoreEase App"
- Four Instruction pages/prompts will follow. You can let them peruse the prompts or instruct them to swipe through them.
- They will press DONE in the bottom right hand corner of the app at the completion of the four pages/prompts.
- The HOME screen will then generate. Let them know when they open their app onsite this will be the Home Screen.
- Explain the grey icons are all Access Points on the property. Gate (if applicable), Facility doors (if Noke equipped) and their unit. Which is typically the last icon on the screen.
- Tell them all property access is available based on their proximity to the access point.
- Tell them the grey icon for each access will turn blue when they are physically outside of that access point.
- When the icon is blue you simply tap it with your finger as you would a remote control and the unit/access point will unlock.
- The gate will open and close behind you. They property doors will slide open/or unlock depending on the property.
- I tell everyone the unit will unlock but that they will need to lift the the door to put items in/take items out.
- Also remind them they must shut their unit door/hasp securely when leaving their unit.
SHARING THEIR APP- In the top right hand corner of the app they can share their access with friends/family by simply pressing SHARE ACCESS and sending the app to a phone number. At which point the friend/family member will follow the above directives as well.
